Our Story
Elijah Haugen learned roofing before he learned much else. Growing up, he worked alongside his father and brothers, and it didn’t feel like a real job at the time. It was just something the family did together.
After marrying in 2019 and starting a family of his own in Belgrade, Elijah spent years working for other construction companies, picking up experience in moisture barriers, window installation, and general building. Roofing kept pulling him back. It was work he was good at, and it could support his family the right way.
He launched Top Edge Roofing in 2020, working weekends while keeping his day job, until the demand made the decision for him. After landing a sizable two-week roofing project, he handed in his notice and started building the company full time.
Since then, Top Edge has grown from a one-man weekend operation into a team working out of a new shop in Four Corners. The standard hasn’t changed: use the right materials, do the job right the first time, and treat every homeowner’s roof like it’s the only one that matters.

Elijah Haugen is the owner of Top Edge Roofing LLC, which he founded in 2020. He holds Montana Construction Contractor Registration #260394, verifiable at mtcontractor.mt.gov.
Before starting Top Edge, Haugen spent years in general construction, working with moisture barriers, window installation, and residential building projects. That experience carries directly into the way he runs a roofing job today.
He stays hands-on with every project, personally coordinating with insurance adjusters on storm and hail damage claims from first inspection through final approval, a detail customers consistently mention in reviews.
